And I have hypermobile hands. I’ve also been a hand therapist for 9 years. 

After having my first child, I was using my hands in ways I’ve never used them to care for her. And my hands REALLY hurt. Like taking my 9-month-old daughter out for an hour-long walk, holding her, and thinking I had broken my thumb that night kind of pain. 

That night, I ordered kinesiotape. And that helped. Briefly. But the pain kept coming back. I then went down the rabbit hole of trying braces that actually let me USE my hands and taping up my hands in all sorts of ways. 

I started integrating ‘gadgets’ into my life that helped take the strain off of my hands. I developed a consistent and fun hand exercise routine. I tracked my pain and found my triggers, modifying my favorite activities so I could do them without having a pain flare. 

I feel lucky that I’m an occupational therapist with a hand specialty. And yet, I STILL had to do a ton of trial and error to figure out how to tame my hypermobile hands to stop the pain. 

And now, it’s my mission to help you skip the hand -pain time- and- money- drain by skipping to clear solutions and giving you a sense of community  – getting you back to doing the things that light you up.

I have hand pain but not from hypermobility. Is this for me?

Yes and no. Yes, in that all the exercises, hand supports, and 'activity hacks' could be incredibly beneficial to honestly anyone in any type of hand pain. No, in that the first module is about hypermobility specifically.

 

However, if you have hand pain that's been around for a WHILE...and you don't feel understood by doctors or therapists...there's a good chance you have hypermobility and don't know it (it's estimated 1 in 5 people are affected by hypermobility).

How is this different from normal hand therapy?

This is incredibly different! I created this in part because I was so tired of the traditional medical model and the disservice the current healthcare system provides to clients. In too many hand clinics, clients are churned in and out in 20-30 minute sessions. They compete for their therapist's attention with several other clients and leave confused about what to actually do.

 

This is a self-paced digital course that you will have lifetime access to, including quick reference points to all exercises (videos & picture format), splints, 'gadgets,'  pain relief products, & more! This allows much greater carryover of topics learned - meaning you actually get to reap the benefits every day.

Will my insurance cover this course?

Unfortunately, no. Since this is not within the (broken 🤐) traditional healthcare model of 'therapy,' insurance companies won't cover digital courses such as this one.

 

You may, however, be able to use FSA/HSA funds for this course by doing these 3 things:
